- Old magazines such as Parenting, Child, Working Mother, or Parents
- Scissors
- Glue or paste
- Old book, notebook, or piece of cardboard
Directions
This activity is ideal for children who are expecting a baby sister or brother. Go through some old magazines with your child and find pictures of babies and the things that babies need, such as diapers, bedding, toys, or clothes. Cut them out and then you and your child can arrange them on the pages of a book (gluing a piece of white or colored picture over the story), in a notebook, or on the piece of cardboard like a collage. Have your child make up a story about what life might be like with a new baby. Write the story underneath the pictures.
