Henry Bernstein, M.D., is currently the associate chief of the Division of General Pediatrics and the director of Primary Care at Children's Hospital, Boston. He also has an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. Bernstein has extensive clinical experience as a primary care pediatrician in a variety of settings -- private practice, a health center, a medically underserved area as a member of the National Health Service Corps, as well as in a children's hospital, teaching medical students, pediatric residents, and fellows.
Bernstein believes that children are treasures -- our most valuable assets for the future -- and that pediatricians and families must work together so that all children reach their potential. He finds it challenging and rewarding to be teaching the next generation of pediatricians, and to be conducting research that will improve what pediatricians do every day in their practice. Bernstein believes his ultimate responsibility as a pediatrician is to help children and their families stay mentally and physically healthy.
He lives in suburban Boston with his wife and two children.
