The following national adoption organizations provide information and support on adoption and adoption-related issues. Some specialize in a particular area, such as children with special needs, whereas other organizations provide information on children from specific countries. Some organizations are interested in the adoption of all types of children. Contact the organizations for more information. Note that this list is only a sampling of the many groups that directly or indirectly deal with adoption. Some organizations provided addresses and phone numbers, but several prefer to be contacted by e-mail or their website.
