Taste Testing

With a blindfold on, can your preschool child identify tastes as sweet or sour, salty or tangy?

Taste Testing

  • Blindfold
  • Various food items

  1. Blindfold your child and have him identify by taste and smell some of his favorite foods (ice cream, pickles, yogurt, cereal, cookies, and so on).
  2. Have him describe the different tastes and textures and ask him to group them as sweet, salty, bitter, sour, spicy, or tangy.
