About Gavin
Gavin de Becker is widely regarded as the USA’s leading expert on the prediction and management of violence. He is the best-selling author of The Gift of Fear, which spent four months on the New York Times bestseller list and has since been published in eighteen languages. Mr. de Becker’s work has earned him three Presidential appointments, a position on a congressional committee, and he was twice appointed to the President's Advisory Board at the U.S. Department of Justice. He has also served two years on the Governor's Advisory Board at the California Department of Mental Health, and has been the co-chair of the Domestic Violence Council Advisory Board, as well as a Senior Fellow at the UCLA School of Public Policy.
