About Amber
Amber is the founder and editor of ‘WonderBaby.org’, a website which supports parents and caregivers of young children with visual impairments and multiple disabilities. Based in Massachusetts, Amber is a mom to a teenage boy who is diagnosed with Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, Joubert Syndrome, refractory epilepsy, and oropharyngeal dysphagia with chronic upper airway congestion. Amber has previously served as President of Massachusetts Association of Parents of the Visually Impaired, (MAPVI), a now-dissolved non-profit organization which provided information for parents and caregivers of visually impaired children, and organized fun social activities for its members. Amber has also been a volunteer web consultant for the National Braille Press, and has worked as a Digital Project Manager at the Perkins School for the Blind. Additionally, Amber is a co-founder and editor of ‘PsychologyDegreeGuide.org’, an online directory of psychology schools, degrees, and career resources for psychology students.
