About Jennifer

As a mom of two and a qualified nurse practitioner with 25 years’ experience,  Jen is a leading expert in understanding tweens and teens, and is the current Director of the University of Michigan School-Based Health Center program. In addition, through her Teen Speak series on her website, Dr. Jen gives parents and caregivers the knowledge and practical tools they need to comfortably connect with their tweens and teens on topics such as substance use, sex, and mental health. Dr. Jen is also the President of Possibilities for Change, a company that she set up which provides youth risk screening tools for professionals and parents, including the Rapid Assessment for Adolescent Preventive Services (RAAPS) risk screening and counseling support tool, which Jen invented.
