What You’ll Need:
Some small bowls
Honey or jam for sweetness
Mix of colorful fruits, our favorite are:
Some nuts for crunch
An ice cube tray
1. Pour some yogurt and your choice of sweetener into a bowl
Add your yogurt to a small bowl. You can use something to sweeten it like honey or jam. You’ll also find that the jam will make the yogurt change color which can be really fun!
2. Add your chosen ingredients
We recommend adding some yummy colorful fruits like berries, melon or kiwi and some nuts for crunch. Pistachios look especially good due to their vibrant green color. As your child selects each ingredient ask them why they’ve made that choice and encourage them to describe the colors and flavors of each topping. Give your yogurt, fruit and nuts a good stir to combine.
3. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays
Encourage your kids to slowly and carefully pour the mixture into ice cube trays. They might need a little help, or a teaspoon to ensure they don’t spill too much.
4. Experiment with as many combinations as you like!
Encourage your kids to experiment with different sweeteners, different fruits and different nuts to make fun color and flavor combinations.
5. Freeze overnight
Frozen yogurt bites work best if frozen overnight.
