Q
What are realistic percentile scores on the SAT and the ACT for a person seeking admission to a pre med-program?
A
Your SAT scores should be at least 1,400 and ACT above 33, unless you have fantastic leadership experience and a really strong high school GPA. What the medical school admissions officers care most about is your college academic record, your MCAT score, and your leadership and work experience. To get more information, I would call your local college and ask how you can best use this summer to prepare for some of the freshmen science course you will be taking. Anticipating and planning for these courses this summer can give you the leg up once you begin your pre-med program.
