Problems Faced by College Freshmen

There are a number of books that parents will find helpful in understanding the problems many college freshmen face.
Q
Our daughter has entered UMass Dartmouth as a freshman this year. She is living on campus (most likely to get her freedom). We understand this. However, we still are apprehensive because she is our only child. What problems do most college freshmen go through and how can we help her?
A
UMass Dartmouth is a great school and does a lot to help freshmen feel connected. I have written several books for college freshmen that might give you some additional insight. Keys to Success and Majoring in the Rest of Your Life would be most helpful to let you know what freshmen go through and need to think about to plan for the future. You can visit my website at caroljcarter.com to find descriptions of these books. Your daughter will do great! Keep sending her your love and support.
