Q
My son is a senior in high school and will be attending college next fall. He has learning disabilities and ADD. He will not qualify for academic scholarships. We've been trying to find some LD/ADD scholarships and haven't had much success. Do you know of any or have any ideas of where we could search?
A
There is a new scholarship for high-school students with learning disabilities from the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD). You can get more information about it by logging on to their website.

Other than NCLD, I don't know about scholarships geared towards students with LD/ADHD. However, there are a number of resources available to help to smooth the way towards college for kids now in high school. Have a look at Peterson's Colleges with Programs for Students with Learning Disabilities and The College Student with a Learning Disability: A Handbook by Susan Vogel. LD Online also has a number of articles about this topic.
