Q
I'm looking for a college for my son who has learning disabilities. Do you know of any?
A
In the last ten years there has been an explosion of opportunities available for the young adult with learning disabilities who would like to go on for post-high school study. Your best bet is to look at the book Peterson's Colleges With Programs for Students With Learning Disabilities or Attention Deficit Disorders. This is a state-by-state guide to the kind of program you are looking for. Another good resource is the book Unlocking Potential: College and Other Choices for People with LD and ADHD, A Step-by-Step Guide by Barbara Scheiber.

You can also check out the website from the Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities or call them at 1-888-GR8-MIND. The (1-800-575-7373) has information, too.
