"Appy" Friday! This week, we feature apps for exploring the human body, learning a new language and learning how to code. And don't forget to check out our video to see our top pick of the week!

Duolingo
Duolingo is probably the most popular language-learning app, and it certainly has a lot to offer. The program teaches languages through gradual and repeated practice, with listening exercises and tranlsation to and from the target language. And, the easy to use interface and pleasant graphics don't hurt either. With courses available in 23 languages, Duolingo is sure to be a useful tool as you try and broaden your vocabulary!

BioDigital Human: 3D Anatomy and Health Conditions
Biodigital's app is a doozy; the app offers up interactive 3D models of all of the human body's major systems with multiple views, labels, and the ability to draw or dissect as you please. Not only that, but the app also contains models for various dysfunctions and diseases, which you can compare against healthy models to see how the body is affected. If you have a passion for anatomy, then this app is a must-have.

Hopscotch
Hopscotch is pretty unique among coding apps for kids in that it takes the "for kids" angle one step farther. Rather than just having a clean, easy interface, Hopscotch has kids programming their own games and activities! The fun and freedom offered by the Hopscotch app is going to keep your little ones engaged and excited as they learn important skills for the future.

Isosceles
Isosceles is a nice, simple tool for kids and adults. Isosceles is a geometry sketchpad, a lot like what schools use for teaching and solving geometry problems. With optional features to grid and measure, the app is useful for simple scratch work or more rigorous stuff—or if the grownups need to do some measures of their own, the app's robust enough for them too!

Lingo Cat
The hardest thing to say with this app is the name; the app itself is a wonderful tool to teach Spanish. What Lingo Cat does well, above other apps, is its approach to the two languages. Lingo Cat teaches the English with the Spanish, so that young learners develop the essential skill of thinking in the target language, rather that thinking always in translation. This means that your kids will be that much more prepared for real life situations!
