Sort and organize yarn for arts & crafts projects by making a handy yarn holder.
Yarn Holder
Materials
- Wide cylindrical container with a plastic lid
- Colored yarn
- Double-sided cellophane tape
Directions
Wrap tape around the outside of the can starting at the top but only do a couple of rows at a time. Take pieces of yarn and wind them around the container, pressing into the sticky tape. Repeat until the container is completely covered with rows of yarn. Punch one or more holes in the lid, depending on the size of the can. Place a ball or hunk of yarn inside the container and draw the end(s) through the hole(s) in the lid. Replace the lid. If the yarn is to be used for knitting, additional holes can be made for knitting needles.
