- Abraham Transou was born about 1700 in Mutterstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany. He came to America in 1730 aboard The Thistle of Glasgow. Abraham, whose parents have not been documented, is believed to be the son of Jacob Trentsols, born about 1657 in Somme, France.
