  • French (Réaume) : from Old French réalme ‘kingdom’; a medieval regional name for someone who came from the Kingdom of France as opposed to the wider empire, for example on the other side of the Rhône.
  • A Réaume from Paris is documented in Quebec City in 1665, with the secondary surname De Paris; another, from La Rochelle, France, was in Quebec City in 1665.
