Family name origins & meanings
- Spanish : from the name of the mountain range between Segovia and Madrid, or rather from a valley that gave its name to the whole mountain range, from Arabic wādī al-ramah. The first element is wādī ‘valley’, ‘riverbed’; the second is unexplained.
