Homeschooling in New Jersey

New Jersey has a large homeschool population, with many support and activity groups. A website lists the larger statewide organizations.
Q
I was hoping you could provide a list of resources for homeschooling in New Jersey. I homeschool my 13-year-old daughter, and we have been searching for other homeschoolers her age, pen-pal clubs, and other group activities.
A
New Jersey has a large homeschool population with many support and activity groups throughout the state. The type of group you choose depends on your location, interests, and reasons for joining. For instance, there is a very active homeschool teen group in central NJ that meets monthly. Email Debi Richter (richterfamily@erols.com) to join their mailing list.

There are small, community-based groups that choose not to be included on statewide lists to maintain the integrity and size of the group. They meet in members' homes, and are usually "invitation only." These are too numerous to list here. For a listing of the larger statewide organizations, try the New Jersey Homeschool Association's site at www.geocities.com/Athens/Agora/3009/index.html.
