By jumping and landing on specific surfaces, your child will improve her sense of balance.
- 15 to 20 minutes
- Old tires
Use the arms for balance as you jump on and off the tire surfaces until you get comfortable with the motion. Encourage landing on both feet.
- Once confidence is achieved, try jumping from one tire to another.
- Reverse directions or go backward.
- Make up a routine and take turns doing it properly.
- Use a timer.
- A small exercise trampoline can be substituted for the tires.
