Puppy for Sale Costume
Follow these simple directions to create a Puppy for Sale costume.
Puppy for Sale Costume
Time: 1 to 2 hours
Effort: Easy - some sewing required
Materials:
- Brown or white sweatsuit
- Brown or white fabric (opposite color of sweatsuit, to make spots)
- Brown and white face paint
- Elastic bands and hairspray for ponytails (or puppy ears made out of fabric or store-bought)
- Large cardboard box
- Brown or white fabric
- Needle and thread
- Scissors
- Elastic for straps
- Stapler
Instructions: Cut "spots" out of the fabric and stitch them to the sweatsuit If your child has long hair, tease it and put it into high pigtails that hide ears. If not, put on puppy ears. Paint face white with a brown spot around one eye and a red or pink tongue hanging down under mouth. On the box, write something like "Puppy Dog, $500." Make straps on inside of box using elastic and staples. Cut out the bottom of the box for her legs!
Tips: Your child could wear a collar. Have child wear scruffy shoes and brown or black pants if legs and feet can be seen.
