Parenting is tough and can take a toll on you not only mentally, but also physically. We often lose control of our pre-parenting health and fitness routines. But, these celeb parents give us hope. What's their secret? Self care.

What's the secret?

It is no secret that most celebrities who continue to age well have one thing in common: how they continue to care for and show up for themselves in their daily lives. They take care of themselves mind, body, and soul.

Too often when working with moms, I hear them say that their self care is the first to go. I cannot emphasize enough how important self care is.

The good news is that if you are willing to put in the effort, you too can age just as beautifully as these celebrity moms. As moms we become masters of multitasking, so I know you can do it!

It’s #FitnessFriday. You asked how to get started? It’s simple... you just decide to start! You decide today that you are worth it! Trust me, I know it’s hard to focus up and dedicate time to working out each day, but with 24 hours in a day you can surely take ONE and dedicate it to YOU! You don’t need a fancy gym to get started - all you need is a living room, a patio, a kitchen floor, a driveway or a backyard, and a water bottle. This simple exercise is called a plank pull. This starts to strengthen your core, and a strong core has been key to my workouts. Each week until the launch of hallewood I’m going to pick a question that you ask and Peter and I will do our best to answer. First, we were asked: if you have weight to lose, is it better to lose weight before you start working out? Peter says it’s best do them simultaneously. You can start by walking each day or doing jumping jacks for cardio, while using very light weights, or again holding water bottles in each hand if you don’t have weights. It is truly hard to believe that Jennifer Lopez is 49 years old. Her key to success? Drinking LOTS and LOTS of water. "I try to keep my body hydrated and well rested after every workout," she said. "That way, I'm ready to hit it hard again the next day," she told Harper's Bazaar.

You do not have to spend a crazy amount of money to age well. Treat yourself to all-natural skincare products and say bye bye to lower quality products that are just not doing the trick. It can be as simple as being sure to take off your makeup every night, or taking supplements such as fish oil, or using coconut oil like many of the celebs do.

Jessica Alba is known for her luminous skin and her all-natural approach to life and parenting. “Between the kids and the office, I usually only have about five minutes to get ready so I like to keep it simple. "To me, being healthy means feeling good about the choices I'm making," she says. "And most important, it's about keeping fit mentally and physically.”

Adele struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her son, Angelo. However, she was not shy about it and did what she needed to in order to take care of herself and not let it bring her down. “You’re constantly trying to make up for stuff when you’re a mom. I don’t mind, because of the love I feel for him. I don’t care if I don’t ever get to do anything for myself again.” she told Vanity Fair.
