Description of technique:
A lot of abusive behavior occurs off school grounds at the bus stops, especially in the afternoon after the kids get off the bus. You can help if your home is within sight of a stop. If you witness an assault, etc., then immediately report it to the school as you saw it. Many schools have a zero tolerance policy for violence and will investigate and take action when their students are involved, no matter where it occurs. Try to get the bus number and the names of the kids involved (or at least one of them by name or address, that helps).
