Brief summary:
This is actually a series of books with the first one being named the Box Car Children. It's an amazing story of four orphaned children who are afraid to live with a Grandfather they have never met so they take off and find an old boxcar to live in. The oldest brother goes off and finds work to buy the children food and such. It's an amazing tale of how the family stuck together and worked together and loved each other. It's a timeless classic and was written in 1942. It was the book that changed my reading life. I fell in love with books after reading this series. It's a must read!!
