Brief summary:
This is a great story about a 10 year old boy who goes in search of his father, after the death of his mother. After living in several foster families and group homes, he ventures off on a long adventure to see if he can find the man that he believes might be his father. It is touching, historical, humorous, inspirational and a great book for boys. It is a wonderful story to read out loud to a group because there are many dialects and wildly funny dialogues between characters.

Bud, Not Buddy was the winner of the 2000 Newbery Medal.
