Brief summary:
Max had made a bit too much trouble one night, and was sent to bed without supper by his exhausted mother. Upset at his mother, Max, adorned in his wolf suit, set sail from the forest growing in his room to a faraway place. His boat took him to the Land of the Wild Things. Upon his arrival to their home, the Wild Things roared a terrible roar and clashed their terrible teeth at Max. That is, until he commanded "BE STILL!" With a simple magic trick, Max tamed the roaring creatures with terrible eyes and terrible claws. They were so frightened by him that they made Max king of all Wild Things.
With unique illustrations of ferocious monsters who are every bit as funny as they are scary, "Where the Wild Things Are" has the added magnificence of being wonderfully readable and will touch the hearts of adults and children alike.
