Grade level:
3-5

Objectives:
1. To learn about students in the classroom.
2. To promote class unity.

Materials needed:
One copy of attached sheet for each student; pencils.

Time estimate to complete:
20 minutes

Procedure:
1. Create a five box by six box grid with descriptions of student activities in each box, like bingo. Example: speaks another language; has a dog; went to a concert; plays piano, etc.
2. Have students walk around the classroom asking classmates if they have done or do any of the things mentioned in the boxes. Then they write the person? name down in the box. Make sure that they try to use a different name for each box.
3. Give students 20 minutes to get as many names as possible ? then stop.
4. Share results. Any categories no one fit?
5. Award homework passes to students with most fill-ins without duplicating names.
