Description of safety strategy:
Conflict resolution and violence prevention strategies need to be taught to every staff member and every student in the school. These strategies must be integrated with the school discipline policy and infused in every area of the school environment. Administrators, staff, and students must consistently use the same conflict resolution language (i.e. "I" messages, talk it out, etc.) and adults must consistently model these behaviors. It is important that parents are made aware of these strategies and how they can be adapted in the home. I am a conflict resolution specialist and this models the program that we run in our school district.
