Description of safety strategy:
This strategy goes to the root problem instead of providing a band-aid. It exposes boys to positive principles of living in a healthy environment. It involves an organization that has had great success in providing direction in the lives of boys during their formative years, especially boys who are "at risk". Today, really every boy is at risk with the many detrimental forces that surround them. Based on my experience with two sons, this organization is the best support that a parent can have. It is Boy Scouts of America, which has been around for almost 100 years. Learning to live by the Scout Law with good role model men is still as good as it gets. Every child needs a good dose of the Scout Law: "A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent." Exposure to these principles establishes an important lifestyle benchmark that goes with a boy through life. Widely used, Scouting would solve many of the safety issues in schools.
