Description of technique:
Children need to understand that problems are a normal part of life. Begin teaching them life skills at an early age. They must learn that they are responsible for their decisions, actions and achievements.
As their confidence and self awareness grows so will self assertiveness. They will understand that it is okay to stand up for themselves and to recognize when they need to get help from a trusted adult.
We used a program from Lifeskills4kids.com for our 4 sons that works well. It had fun worksheets and easy to follow lessons.

Age group this technique is effective for:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
