What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
approx 2 hours

Difficulty level:
Almost as easy - some sewing

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
2 large white pillowcases
some type of filler, i.e. craft stuffing
1 old soccer ball cut in half
1 pair yellow shoes or socks
1 pair yellow tights

Instructions:
Put one pillowcase inside the other and cut out arm and leg holes. Stuff between pillowcases with filling and then stitch around the openings to hold it in place. Costume works best when over filled. When the child steps into the suit, gather the material at the neck and tie with a ribbon. Cut the soccer ball in half and then make cuts to resemble a cracked egg. (I covered mine with white tissue and glue.) Put some yellow tights on and slip into a pair of yellow shoes or socks. You can also add a paper beak. Voila! You are a hatching chick.

Other information to consider:
This suit can be very warm. My child enjoyed it on the cold Halloween night that he wore it.
