4 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
A Few Hours

Difficulty level:
Almost as easy - some sewing

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Enough material to make a skirt & small top (something wild like Polka Dots)
3 yards of each...Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue Material Glue Gun
Wreath (size of head)
Plastic Fruit for Headpiece
Maracas (Dollar Store)
Red High Heels

Instructions:
Cut material and make tight skirt that can be tied on the side of hip. Cut strips of colored materials and sew loosely (I used dental floss) so that you can make ruffles. Hot glue layers of the colored materials on the lower portion of the skirt. Make easy top that can be tied in the front and hot glue the layers again for full, ruffled arms. Hot glue plastic fruit onto the wreath (be sure to leave some grapes hanging). Attach some twine to headpiece to be able to tie under chin. Or another option is to tie piece of material on your head with the fruits on top.

Other information to consider:
Be sure to get all made up with some red lipstick. Dance around with the maracas and you'll be sure to win 1st prize at the party. I did and so did my best friend the following year when she borowed my costume. =)
