4 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
As long as it takes you to make it

Difficulty level:
A bit more advanced - sewing definitely required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
brown sweatshirt and sweatpants
aqua felt
yellow felt
black felt
pink felt
brown felt/fabric
headband
brown gloves (the thin kind)

Instructions:
Take the brown felt or fabric and make it into a tail, but it doesn't need to be too long. Sew your tail onto the sweatpants in the right place(it might help to put on the pants to get the right place).

Next, use the aqua felt. Fit a strip around your neck so it is a little loose. This will be your collar. Take a small diamond shape of yellow felt, and use your extra aqua to make an "S" and a "D" to fit in the diamond.

Next, cut out shapes in the black felt for Scooby's spots. It would help a whole lot to have a picture to look at. Put your spots in the right places.

Now take more brown felt and make it into the shapes of the ears. Take pink and put in ears for the insides. You should look at your picture for that, too. Cover your headband with brown fabric/felt, and sew your ears on.

Put on your ears, sweatshirt, sweatpants, and gloves for paws.

Other information to consider:
You could have a group with you; Shaggy (lime shirt, maroon pants, black shoes); Freddy (white shirt, blue pants, brown shoes, orange/blue scarf around neck); Daphne (purple dress, pink tights, purple shoes, green scarf around neck); Velma (orange turtle neck, red pleated skirt, thick black glasses). Carry a box of Scooby Snacks.
