Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Football helmet (even a toy one will work)
Football jersey (or get an oversized shirt with short or 3/4 length sleeves and put a number on it)
Football pants or jogging pants
Football pads (or use rolled towels attached to insides of shoulders of the shirt)
Cleats or tennis shoes
Charcoal, or black makeup
Wrist sweatbands (very important!)

Instructions:
If you do not have pads, try using rolled towels and either attaching them into the shoulders of the shirt, OR drape rolled towels over each shoulder of child, then attach to each other around the front and back of child's neck with string or tape.
Use charcoal or makeup under the eyes on cheekbones to represent "eyeblack".
To complete the costume, get some wrist sweatbands that match the jersey, and make sure your child wears them on his wrists! This is really what makes the costume!
