3 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
One day.

Difficulty level:
A bit more advanced - sewing definitely required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
about two yards of white fabric (cotton preferably)
scissors
a sewing machine
black hair spray
beads
gold spray paint
tin foil

Instructions:
Fold fabric in half and cut a hole in the middle. Cut about 4 inches off the bottom of both pieces. Sew up sides of fabric until you reach about 6 inches before the middle. Sew together the two cut pieces on the short ends. That will be the tie. Hem the bottom and neck line. Cut tin foil in to the shape of a big necklace and spray it gold. Let it dry. Spray hair black and string beads on the sides. Then you are finished.

Other information to consider:
Other things can be used instead of tin foil for the necklace. Use something to make it easy to hook and unhook the necklace in the back. Also, measure your child before you cut everything. Bigger children should get more fabric.
