blue slacks and shirt
Postal carrier hat (Gags and Gifts)
4-5 small stuffed dogs
store large, over-the-shoulder bag

Instructions:
Nearly all supplies can be bought at a Goodwill store. Postal baseball-type cap was found at Gags and Gifts. Tear and shred clothing to look as if wearer has been in a fight. Attach small stuffed dogs to various parts of the clothing (just a couple of stitches keeps them secure).
A tear in the seat of the pants can reveal heart-covered boxers. A few torn and crumpled envelopes sticking out of the "postal" bag finish off the costume. Entire costume should cost less than $15 and is very unique.

Other information to consider:
Goodwill is a great resource for costumes...very, very cheap and lots to choose from. Use your imagination!
