Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Jumpsuit
Red felt
White felt
Black felt marker
Glue
Gray or black backpack
Canister style vacuum cleaner

Instructions:
Cut red felt into the circle with slash "no" symbol. Cut out a little white Ghost and make his face with black marker. Glue Ghost behind circle. Glue the "Ghostbuster" Symbol to your jumpsuit.
Put on the jumpsuit.
Put the canister of the vacuum cleaner into the backpack, make sure the nozzle is sticking out the zipper. (This may be too heavy for small children...in which case, you could just use the hose and nozzle.)
Put the backpack on.

Other information to consider:
A cheap alternative to the jumpsuit is a painters coverall spray painted gray/dark blue/black/or even orange.
Additions of web belting to the outfit would make it even better.
Practice saying, "I ain't afraid of no ghost." "He slimed me."
