Estimated time required to make this costume: Maybe a few days.
Difficulty level: Quick and easy - no sewing required
Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
*A box large enough to fit over your head
*Construction paper
*Felt
*Paint
*Ribbon
*Plastic headband
Instructions:
Take the box and cut it so that the top looks like a picket fence.
Paint it white or whatever color you want.
Using the constuction paper, cut out flowers and leaves. Glue them onto the box. Then take green paper and make grass.
Connect ribbon to the front and back of the box as straps.
Using the felt and ribbon, make a choker necklace with flower petals.
If you want, take white pipe cleaners and glue paper butterflies on one ends. Wrap the other ends around the headband.
Other information to consider:
This is a really fun costume. I won a lot of costume contests with it. You can dress all in green to look like a flower stem, or a shirt with a butterfly print on it or something. I highly reccommend that you make this costume for a girl because boys get really uptight at the thought of wearing flowers and a headband!
