mere minutes

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
dark pants, sweatshirt, and knit cap. Black face paint

Flashlight; reflective elements for costume

Instructions:
Once you're in the clothes, coil some rope over the shoulder.

Rub black shadow/face paint under the eyes.

Have some jewel-y, shimmery things. Put some "silverware" in the treat bag to clink n' clank a bit...hot glue some light, trinket-type jewelry to the top of the treat bag.

Put reflective tape or patch on the back of the shirt. Use the flashlight!!!

Other information to consider:
Little ones naturally like to dress as Bad Dudes on Halloween. Big kids...well, don't be scarin' any little ol' ladies by dressin' as a Burglar, 'cuz some of them are pistol-packin' mommas. It has to be Obvious what the kid's pretending to be, but also Very Obvious that they R Not visiting w/intent to break da law.

The Long Arm of the Law can go w/Cat Burglar, as Police Officer (book 'em, Dan-O) or sheriff.
