What age group is this costume for?
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
Up to an hour.

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
a circlet of wire an inch larger than your head

small colorful balloons

colorful ribbons

white floral or first aid tape

Instructions:
Blow the balloons up (not too big; not too uniform in size) and tie off. Leave a "tail," which you'll tape to the wire, covering the ends by wrapping tape over 'em as you add each balloon. Work in a spiral fashion, covering the wreath nicely. Tie the ribbons at the back, when you've finished, to cascade down your back.

Other information to consider:
This is another of those "not for children under 3; choke hazard" costume elements that should not even be Near a li'l person who might be tempted (chomp, gulp).

But way cool for older kids, and a possible birthday party crown idea, too. Use as a wreath on the door, to say "this is the place!" for a birthday celebration. Take pictures; they last longer ;-)

Crazy flowers might work, too; use artificial blossoms n' stems, or use tissue papers n' pipe cleaner stems...colorful cupcake liners...what have ya got in the house that's Zany or colorful?
