What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
mere minutes

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
sweatshirt, numbered (or add number w/colored tape)
trousers
broom/hockey stick
2 oven mitts
2 hot pads
bike/skating helmet
Safety pins

Instructions:
Pin one hot pad to each knee of pants.

Put on the helmet and the oven mitts. Grab the broom or stick, and Go!

Other information to consider:
Props are not generally appreciated at school parties, and are also easy to leave behind n' lose...so consider taping a favorite team's name on the Helmet, and a player's name on the shirt, or just get write "I live for Hockey!" on the treat bag, or "Hockey Rules!" on a big office label (slap that on anywhere it makes sense).
