What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
1 hour

Difficulty level:
Almost as easy - some sewing

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
baseball outfit
baseball hat
black shirt
black felt (1/2 length as person and wide as armspan)
reflecting tape
glitter

Instructions:
For ears: cut 4 triangles
(2" by 4") of black felt and sew 2 triangles together on 2 sides. Turn the triangles inside out so that they can stand up. Put glitter on the outside triangle in the front (outlining it). Attach to the baseball hat.
To make cape, take leftover black felt and cut in about 2" from the top and cut in enough so that the material can be tied around the neck. Cut the rest to look like wings. Take the reflector tape and make veins on the back of the cape to resemble the veins of the batwings. To attach to the arms, use the scraps and cut rectangles (long enough to tie around arm and 1" wide). Cut slits on cape and put the rectangles thru and tie on arm.
