Instructions:
Buy a sleeper in an animal print (mine chose leopard) and socks to cover shoes.
Fold poster board in half, draw heart design to look like the Ty label. Leave left edge uncut so it will open. Color design in colored pencil (some markers will run in rain etc) then open heart and write poem for your animal on the inside. Punch hole in left corner, add a short ribbon, then pin to collar.
Take plastic headband, using folded poster board, cut out ears (traingles for cats, rounded semi-cirlcles for others). While headband is on child, position and size ears around headband. Remove, color and glue or staple.
Other information to consider:
My daughter chose Freckles the leopard. She covered her white tennis shoes with old black socks for an outdoor party and wore black hi-tops for an indoor party.
She also carried her matching beanie baby toy inside.
Face make-up and gloves are optional. Mine chose no to both.
