3 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
1-2 hours

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
pillowcase (size depends on age)

4-5 large bags of colored feathers

glue gun

glue sticks

plastic bird beak

yellow tights

Instructions:
Measure where center is of the pillowcase end opposite of the open-end. Cut a hole here for your head to go through. Cut holes in the sides for your arms.

Hot glue on 3-4 rows of red feathers, followed by 3-4 rows of yellow feathers, 3-4 rows of blue feathers and 3-4 rows of green feathers until you reach the bottom of the pillowcase. Turn the case over and glue corresponding feathers to the back of the case.

Pull on the case with yellow leggings and black high-top tennis shoes. Add a Bird's beak and YOU'RE DONE!

Very cute and inexpensive.

Other information to consider:
You have to be careful with sitting in this costume. By the end of the evening, my niece looked like she was molting.

We "teased" her hair, then stuck feathers into her hair for a plume effect. A little spray held the feathers in place.
