Best for those who can sit-up but can't walk yet.
sleeper
green felt
gold glitter glue
small colored silk flowers
green leaves
small round straw hat
1" wide ribbon (green)
1 large flower pot
Instructions:
Cut a thin, slightly wavy, long strip of green felt. Glue to front of sleeper from right toe up to left shoulder. Cut felt when you need to cross over the zipper. Take this strip (which represents the stem) all the way to the neck.
Cut-out small leaves and randomly glue up the "stem".
Glue a double layer of leaves around the neck of the sleeper.
Using gold glue, draw veins onto the leaves.
Take the small hat and glue silk leaves/flowers all around the hat. Cut small hole in hat, both sides, in brim next to ears. Put ribbon through, tie a knot so the ribbon will stay in place.
Place sleeper, and hat on child.
Tie hat under chin, set child in large flower pot.
We put my niece in the flower pot into a wagon and pulled her around as we did our trick-or-treating!
Other information to consider:
Plan extra time for trick-or-treating, you'll need it for all the extra stops you have to make for strangers wanting to take pictures and asking where you got the "Anne Geddes" costume.
