What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
15 minutes

Difficulty level:
Almost as easy - some sewing

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
solid colored, button up shirt
knee socks
solid colored material to make a sash
felt pieces to cut badges
ribbons for hair (2)
solid colored (not same as shirt) knee length shorts
small box (shoe box size or smaller)

Instructions:
Cut fabric diagonally into two equal length pieces that are long enough to go across body (shoulder to hip). Sew the pieces together at top and bottom to make sash. Cut felt into pieces resembling badges. Sew or glue felt pieces to sash. Pull hair into pigtails and tie with ribbons. Pull knee socks up and tuck in shirt. If you can't find long enough shorts, cut pants into long shorts. Write cookies on box and carry it around with you. (You may even want to collect your candy in it).

Other information to consider:
If you can't find shorts that are long enough, you can cut pants into knee length shorts.
Green and yellow are good colors to try with this outfit. Use one color for the shirt, and one for the shorts. Try matching the socks with the shirt.
Saddle shoes or penny loafers would look best with outfit.
