Flour
Water
Newspaper
Black tights
Black hat
Black cane
White gloves

Instructions:
Make a large form in the shape of a peanut with your newspaper, and apply the flour/water mixture in papier-mache style. Add enough layers of papier-mache for it to be stiff when dry. Leave space at the bottom so it will slip over your head. Cut spaces for eyes and mouth once the form has dried.
Wear black tights, white gloves, hat, carry the cane, and you are the Planter's Peanut Man.

Other information to consider:
Make space at the bottom large enough so you can sit down if you are going to a party. Also, a monocle is handy to complete the costume if one is available.
