Thomas the Train

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
3 hours

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Box, size appropriate for childs size and age
Paints, red, blue, black and yellow
Tap light
velco
string
Paper towel or toilet paper cardboard roll
Optinal: Conductors hat, overalls, wire for smoke cloud

Instructions:
Paint box Thomas color blue-- picture of Thomas helpful.
Paint number one on the sides of the box in yellow. Paint train wheels on bottom of box. Cut out the bottom if desired. On front of train box for the straps, make a hole on each side of the box, insert desired type of stap, make a knot - front to back.
Attach face, tape light with velco (make sure real secure due to child running and moving). Glue on smoke stack and if desired, add a smoke cloud with wire that you curl by wrapping around a pencil, glue on inside of smoke stack and glue the cloud to other end. Paint a bumper on botttom of metal train, cut out if desired.
