What age group is this costume for?
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
2 hours

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
blue sweat pants
blue sweat shirt
1 pair red men's slipper socks
1 pair red gloves
1 red full face toboggan
1/2 - 1 yd red fabric
black sharpie
velcro

Instructions:
With the black sharpie, draw a spider web design on the gloves, slipper socks and toboggan. Cut a strip of red fabric about 2 inches wide and long enough the fit around child's waist (with sweat suit on).
Cut 2 more pieces of fabric about 8 inches wide and long enough to go over forearm and wrist of child. For the chest design, cut out a piece of fabric in a triangular shape large enough to cover from the child's neck to his waist plus about 6 inches. Cut a circle for the head to go through. Now draw a spider web design over each of the fabric pieces (I used a ruler and drew lines straight down and then connected the lines
every inch or so with an arched line. Draw a large spider on the front of the chest piece. Use the velcro on the belt and wrists pieces to close the ends.

Other information to consider:
My approxmiate cost for all materials was about $17.00. The most time consuming thing was drawing the web designs.

My 10 year old son loved it.
