4 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger

Estimated time required to make this costume:
15 minutes or less

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
-dress-up sequined leotard (like you find in Target)
-dress-up boa 4' (2 boas for older children)
-sweat pants or skirt
-dress-up "flapper" hat w/ feathers and sequins
-onesie or long sleeve shirt
-several small safety pins

Instructions:
First, take the boa and cut it in half if you are doing this for a pre-schooler. Have your child get dressed wearing the leotard, onesie, and pants or skirt. Take one half of the boa and cut it to fit around the cuffs of the shirt and the bottom of the pants. Attach them with pins. Use the other piece of boa to wrap around your child's neck and shoulders like a diva. Comb your child's hair in a cute 1920's style and put the hat on her. You may also use boa to accent shoes. Black patent leather shoes are the cutest with this outfit.

Other information to consider:
Make sure that you secure all the pins. This costume was a hit. My daughter won 2nd prize in a costume contest with this last year. This costume can be easily assembled and broken down. Plus, you can keep the clothes to play dress up with for years. My daughter was a very petite 15 months last year when she wore it, and she'll wear it again this year.
