What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
Not very long

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
For the monkey: brown clothing, one knee-high, stuffing

For the gypsy: colorful long skirts, colorful blouse, costume jewelry, long nails, makeup

Instructions:
For the monkey (a child): dress in brown clothing. I am using brown overalls, brown long sleeved shirt and brown shoes for my son. Stuff one knee high (darkest brown you can find) and safety pin to the backside.

For the gypsy (myself): I have a bright pink shirt with gold trim and a multi-colored broom skirt, about 5-8 strands of colorful beads around my neck, wrists full of bangle bracelets, bright red lips, heavy blue eye shadow, and long, fake, red nails. For extra show I added a wart to my chin.

Other information to consider:
This was a perfect idea for my 1 year old son and I. I was able to make use of what I had at home, and what I didn't have a quick run to Goodwill made work. Spent no more than $10 for both of us, and now we are a pair - which is what I wanted.
